Patrick Johnson

Patrick Johnson is Senior Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Asheville, North Carolina. He is the author of The Mission of Preaching: Equipping the Community for Faithful Witness, as well as numerous articles and reviews related to preaching and missional theology. He has recently been a workshop presenter and convener at the NEXT National Gathering, as well as a featured preacher for the Montreat Summer Worship Series. He holds degrees from the College of William and Mary and Princeton Theological Seminary. While serving as a pastor in New Jersey, he taught as adjunct faculty for courses in preaching, speech communication, and worship at PTS, and enjoys participating regularly in the Engle Institute.
